AlmeloAnders is een kritische nieuws-, berichten- en discussiesite over de stad Almelo en haar inwoners. AlmeloAnders wil een aanvulling zijn op het huidige, te vaak door politieke mollen beïnvloede lokale media-aanbod en daarom ook het ándere nieuws brengen. Dit gebeurt veelal serieus, maar vaak ook met een knipoog naar de werkelijkheid. AlmeloAnders associeert zich met geen enkele politieke partij, maar deelt soms wel een pluim uit voor positieve politiek of een satirische draai om de oren in geval van minder positieve zaken. Dit alles onder het motto: niemand is heilig. Zoete broodjes bakken met politici is er dan ook niet bij. AlmeloAnders is er voor de gewone burger, die behoefte heeft aan een medium dat de lokale overheid kritisch volgt, op de hielen zit en misstanden aan de kaak stelt, waar anderen dat volledig nalaten. Zo hoort dat in Almelo!
